Debate it for a while because you’re a director and she’s a senior associate but she’s the one who asked to grab dinner and then drops she has a bf when you’re walking back so now I just wfh for a while….
Yeah probably!
Do not act on it. DO NOT ACT ON IT. There is an expression, that is beautiful in both its simplicity and accuracy. "Don't sh*t where you eat".
If may seem like the best idea in the world, it might seem like it all makes sense, what could go wrong? You get to see them more often cause you work together! DO NOT DO IT. This has the highest chance out of any decision in your career to ruin your life.
The ways it can be successful is 1.
The ways this could easily and utterly implode and impact both work and home life is infinite.
aka don't get your bread and butter from the same place. Very good advice.
By not acting on them
I agree! Work place crushes turn out to be the worst karma ever. Rule of thumb is never sleep where you sh*t.
I met all of my wives at work. As a powerful handsome servant leader the ladies are naturally attracted to me. We all remain good friends they understand my libido was always in overdrive and I needed newer models to satisfy my carnal desires.
That says it all! They were all long term relationships (obviously) and you now have a long term work (and all else) from home arrangement?
We still have feelings?
Yeah…we do.
You don’t get honey where you get ur money.
By being in a situationship for months where we flirt with each other but no one ever makes a move until you find out the whole time he was seeing another girl so you just bury the feelings and are not as close for a few months and then you slowly become friends again with a small hope but knowing how it went down before…
That isn't what a situationship is lol
Shoot that shot… especially if it is mutually assured destruction of both lives…
Rising Star
Suffer in silence.
Slam it in a door.
By exercising restraint like a normal adult and not acting on every urge or temptation you have.
So many MDPs have met their spouses at work, they seem to be doing fine. We only get one life, I’d act.
Must be a big organisation then, with offices in every state? Not likely to run into the same crush twice?
If both single, be mature, talk about it if there’s something there and keep it private
I acted on it when I was in consulting days. Hoenstly best relationship I’ve been in it was cute. Do what you want as long as you are not hurting people
Get to know her as a business relationship first and if its mutual it will happen on its own.
This is why you are still an entry level employee at age 30+
Are you a child?? Seriously. "Work Crushes"? Why is this even a topic? If it does happen. Dont do anything. Its work, not tinder....
Unless you work at Tinder, or course. That could get technical!
There's no upside here, mate.
Just don’t.

Live your life, make the job work for you. It against you - if it’s a real thing go get him/her, if it’s just list then release the pressure elsewhere
