Two ways:
1. Start learning a physical trade skill that won’t be replaced by AI anytime soon. Diesel mechanics are in short supply. So are electricians and plumbers.
2. Find John Conner and swear allegiance to him and his cause. Form a rebel group by training in asymmetric warfare and guerilla tactics. Start creating caches of weapons that do not utilize modern computing. Amass vehicles that use limited computers and are not connected to the grid.
There’s a way to make 1 + 2 = total annihilation of AI and win Earth back for humans.
Actual tradespeople across various disciplines report that certain markets have been oversaturated for years, making an actual living difficult to extract... so definitely do the homework before romanticising 'the trades.'
Jobs that require people skills and physical skills will be safe.
It's a nice sentiment but definitely overestimates leadership's interest in long term outcomes
I believe data engineers will quickly be replaced by data AI Supervisory roles and Consultant roles will evolve the same way. Same people but new titles.
You can’t win a fight against progress and technology. Be the person who uses AI to become more valuable and productive. It’s always better to be part of change than to have change happen to you. Build a stack of various skills that you can combine and use to succeed. Max out your savings.
