Pick your moments. You don't need to weigh in on everything. But when you genuinely have a different angle that nobody has mentioned, say it. The worst that happens is they say "interesting, but we're going this direction" and move on. Nobody is going to fire an intern for having an idea. And the ones who do get noticed are the ones who contribute, not the ones who sit silently and nod.

Agree 100%!! No one likes when someone just sits and nods. Even smart questions are valued if you don’t have an idea to share.
I get that feeling. One thing that helped me was asking questions that hint at an idea (“What if we tried X?”) instead of declaring it like a big pitch. Also, pulling a senior aside 1:1 to float ideas can build trust so they invite you in more.

I completely understand and even a few years in I feel like I’m finally breaking out of not wanting to overstep. Overtime you learn timing and confidence in yourself to speak up. I would say know how to use “yes, AND… what do you think if we …”
You speaking your ideas is valuable. You can def pull your creative director to the side privately and send them stuff as well. You’ll be seen as a source of value
It is tricky tho cuz sometimes people get threatened when you’re smarter than them and you’re just starting out. I think there’s a time and place - don’t speak over people but definitely share it if you have a unique build to add.
And.. document down what you contributed!! So you can reference your notes in the future of the value you offer when things go live
