How difficult is it to get hired when you are over 60 yrs old?

I am looking for a new position & company & worried that I will not find something close to what I was making at my last position. I worked for a Fortune 15 company for 20 years. I'm now 63 years old and planned on working for another 7 years or more. I loved my job and love being an EA. My position was eliminated when I came back to work after being on medical disability for 12 weeks due to having a hip replaced.

Anyone else super unimpressed with administrative support with a new firm after lateraling? I told a partner I’d just take care of a routine task myself. He told me my rate is too high and to use a “project manager” (basically an intern they can pay less than a paralegal). We have a 40 person group and 3 project managers making starvation wages. What should be a based salary for an office coordinator in financial services?

Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor! I ended cutting my hand on an exacto knife and there was no first aid! Is this normal?

I only bring in a little over $2,600 a month. After paying all my expenses, I get to put away $500 a month in savings but don’t have much wiggle room for anything else, including going out money.
