Lol. Things I've taken from the responses - 1) people assume being south Asian means you work in technology. (I don't) and 2) Wondering if EY1 is the same islamophobic deuche talking shit in the other thread. Thanks for the feedback fellas, minus David Duke Aka EY1
When you look at statistics of business school admissions look at the 75% percentile and not the average. Also it's important to be differentiated in terms of experience and volunteer work. Being an Indian IT drone is way too typical.
You are fine. Just need a high GMAT.
Definitely at least somewhat disadvantaged. I know a couple guys who got into business schools that were ranked around #15 and neither had amazing GMAT scores, but it was definitely harder for them. Then again, I also know another guy who somehow got into Kellogg round 3, although he had a good GMAT. Thy all came from SAP too - I think it makes a difference if you come from S&O. It's easier to get in to a lot of schools from strategy instead of tech.
Very. south asians are disadvantaged at everything, jobs women, college appa etc. until they put an end to bickering and self depreciating their background and start standing up for themselves
