How do I land my first job in product management? I am currently a consultant for a healthcare firm. I went back to school and I finish my Masters in IT from Virginia Tech this semester. I took some classes related to Product Management and understanding agile methodology. I think this would be a great career path for me but I am having a hard time getting interviews.

I have a phone screen interview with AWS for the position of Systems Engineer with the Linux team early next week. I’ve been a Sys Admin for the last 4 years, and I’m not very well-versed with coding. The phone screen does have whiteboard coding, any tips on what I could do to prepare for this? I’m not sure if I can let the interviewer know I’m not too strong with coding. I do want to take up the challenge, and also find out if the role would require extensive coding though. Any tips?

HR called and informed that i have L2 round.. what they will ask in L2 round.. how to clear L2 round.. in first round they asked full basic concepts and configuration and now don't know what is the expectations in L2 round... Is there a need for US tax professionals there (i.e. Big 4s or in house) or would one need to learn the local tax laws and would that learning be relatively "easier" given existing background in US tax. After playing back our last meet, I realise the CEO was trying to tease out of me/get me to probe on interest for CoS role. I have an offer to join a startup as an APM. The only downside is that the engineering team is located offshore in India. I’m concerned about the resulting impact because of 1) the potential late night calls 2) the learning opportunities missed by not working with a US engineering team (communication tactics, translatable skills) 3) potential exit opps into FAANG pm roles due to not having experience with an onshore eng team.
