Has anyone got any tips for making a strong start to a consulting career? Have 6 months experience and trying to temperature check how things are going / what I could do more of.

I have two offers one from IBM another from Persistent. Persistent is paying 2 lakhs more than IBM. Although IBM is giving 2 lakhs joining bonus.

Which one should I go with?

I received a verbal offer for a VP position at CCB line of business at JPMC in NYC two weeks ago. The recruiter asked for salary expectations but there was no number set. It’s been two weeks since and complete radio silence. I sent an email to a hiring manager a week ago but received no reply. It’s August so people could be on vacation but this is really strange. Hi Fishies, I’m 32yrs old and went with IVF due to male factor. I had 5AA t/f(modified FET) on 11/07, today (11/16)I had blood work, nurse told HCG level is: 168.5, and will be checking again on 11/18, to see if HCG is raising. Is this good value? This is my first time IVF , little worried but again not keeping many hopes and become depressed I’d something goes wrong. Meanwhile trying to stay positive as well.

Does Next Gen issue a formal report for PGS testing results? I had my embryos tested and my clinic just told me which were normal and abnormal. No other info on embryos ratings, etc. they could have not even sent it in for all I know!
Also, how involved are you REs? I’ve been through 2 retrievals now, but feel kinda in the dark still on a lot of things. Some of the nurses are hit or miss and if I want to talk to my doctor I have to schedule a consultation and its typically a 2 week wait.

For those who had a successful pregnancy with ivf, do you remember when or if you had the symptoms? I am now 10 days post transfer and dont really feel anything except lazy and tired but that could also be from progesterone supplements.

Talk to me about side effects from progesterone. I’ve been on suppositories for 2 weeks in my TWW and im having the WILDEST side effects but also similar to pregnancy. I have the CRAZIEST dreams about peeing myself, helping Whitney Carson give birth in a bus. You name it I’m dreaming it. I also feel like I smell horribly. Like a new scent

Stupid Question- We have been thinking for IVF and trying to understand with this process, is there any difference in the health and life of the child as compared to a child born without IVF. I did ask this with our doctor and he said casually its all same. This is not to question any doctor but just to really understand what is going to be different with the kid. This is not very old technology and not much studies as well.

Is genetic carrier screening prior to starting an ivf cycle necessary? I tested and found some disorders. Now my RE won’t start my cycle until my partner is tested. They are saying they will have to do special PGT tests if we are carriers of the same disorder. I am confused. I thought this type of testing was optional and usually recommended if you are using a donor. My guess is that they are booked and pushing me to the Jan cycle. Thoughts?

In my first IUI cycle, took the trigger shot today and IUI is the day after tomorrow. I have 2 follicles - 16mm and 24mm in size. Looking for input from anyone on here who has gone through the IUI process. Please send positive vibes.

I’m going in for a retrieval on Friday. What should I expect after the procedure? Is it reasonable to expect that I should be able to work throughout the day after the procedure?

Any women here with lean PCOS? I do not ovulate on my own (metformin regulated my periods but I still don’t ovulate) and am moving from three cycles of Clomid/IUI to IVF soon. No other issues have been found other than my PCOS (HSG shows tubes open). Curious about your experiences. And the reason I mentioned lean PCOS is because it seems for others with PCOS part of the fertility path is diet/exercise/weight loss but I am already very tiny.

I had IVF process to get pregnant. During pre- embryo transfer we were told that girl embryo is being transferred. Currently I am 18 week pregnant. I had anatomy scan and we found out we are having a boy. Baby looked all healthy but due to gender discrepancy, We are asked to do additional testing and genetic disorder screening. Anyone had similar experience?
