How do yall feel about being asked to switch seats on a plane? Yea I get it dude wanted to be next to his fam but he was too cheap to buy the seat so shouldn't we split the savings?

I switch if it is a comparable seat. I will not give up an aisle seat for a window or middle. If I paid for a specific seat (I fly Delta so that doesn’t really happen), I would ask to get reimbursed for what I spent. I don’t think my position is particularly controversial.

Yes, I pretty much always qualify for diamond and I’m a million miler so the worst I can get is gold.

It depends, if it gives me a better seat I’ll do it. I’ll also check out the surrounding area to make sure there isn’t a loud crying child behind that seat or something lol.

Just the other day I asked someone to switch. My husband and I both had aisle seats on different rows. I asked the lady next time him , who had the middle seat, if she wanted an aisle and she took my aisle seat. I felt that would’ve been and easy switch because who wants to sit in between two strangers ??

just curious why do you want the 10 hrs, aren’t you together the rest of the trip outside the plane and possibly every day in general

if the 10 hrs was that important, did you offer to pay

What savings are you proposing to split? Did you pay something for your specific seat beyond the regular airfare?

like

eh I’ll give u the benefit of the doubt that u not trolling but did not u not understand they skimped on paying for adjacent seats. Hence they got a free seat class upgrade by asking to swap with someone else.

As a frequent traveler and also someone that often travels with their young kids, sometimes there aren’t 3-5 seats together when I book the tickets so I do my best and occasionally check for open seats leading up to the flight.

I’ve moved for and have politely asked if others would consider moving when I’m trading a comparable or even better seat. Sometimes it doesn’t work out and people get a sleepy baby and sometimes they don’t.

I finally was able to convince my principal that we need a consistent math intervention at the MS level (grades 5-8). (Right now, we are just "doing our own thing," which isn't helping students progress much.) Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be beneficial to have some sort of progress monitoring tool as part of the program, if possible. Our classes run roughly 55 minutes (which is too long for an intervention, in my humble opinion).

Thanks for any advice.

I feel under qualified at work but I also don’t know how much of it is in my head or in reality. I head a team and they seem to be happy… but I’m also personally not satisfied what we’re delivering is enough… so I have this weird mixed feeling of the stuff we’re doing not really being that stretching, but at the same time I feel out of my depth. I really don’t know what to do and whether to hold on in the hope I’ll learn something or go back to a lower grade and a more comfortable life.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?
