Keep in mind though, that whoever you talk to has no influence on your pay. They can't change it. All they can do is explain how you got what you got, and if you still aren't happy you'll have to involve talent.

I would talk to your counselor first, and be prepared with facts and data to support what you're saying.
Following. Heard from folks that is highly unlikely to get any raise in the discussion unless there is a competing offer and one must be prepared to walk out if be the case. Feelings are only feelings. Valid data points are required for justification along with specific in demand skills.
