How do you know if your in a toxic work environment or if its you?

Does anyone have tips regarding attending social events, such as happy hours with coworkers and express that drinking isn’t my preference?
With me being the only one on my team who doesn’t drink, it causes me to stick out, and others constantly question why I’m not drinking.
It kind of deters me from attending work events, but I know there’s a lot of benefitting in being around.

When and how do you push back on people senior to you? Fifth year dealing with supersenior associate (11th year) who completely lacks good judgment & common sense. One of those super smart but impractical types. As just one example, he recently called me to tell me to call someone who’s on vacation and ask them to send a calendar invite. I offered to send myself but apparently that wouldn’t work (presumably because it would be efficient & make sense.) At what point (and how) do I Just Say No?

Hello! This is a long story, so I’ll try to keep it brief. I work for a very small supplement company - it’s myself (marketing/acct mgmt) my coworker (sales), and the owner. I've been a dental assistant for 11 years , and I think I'm done . I feel the pay is never enough and 9/10 we do the most work in the office . It's never commensurate to what we do and no matter how much experience you have your still 3-5$ more than someone fresh out of school . As my career progressed as a RDA, I moved to the front office and eventually management. I even taught dental assistants and became the Program Director of a DA program. COVID opened up remote work for me, I manage eclaims, claims corrections and billing for two offices. $20 per hour, no bonuses or incentives, I know I am not getting paid enough!
