Hi folks, how is thoughtworks as an organisation?
Asking because I don't know much about it and have received recruiter's call today. Currently I am working in Deloitte. How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte
[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

May I know how WLB in this company, I see in glassdoor and ambitions contains positive and negative. Is it worth to join? Is it useful for me to enhance my career for long run? How about the retention pay? If we leave the company we need to pay entire retention pay?I have other wipro and CTS, which company is better to join?

Missing the most important part. Competitiveness. If you work harder/longer than everyone else generally you get promoted faster than everyone else.
You need to make sure you're at a firm that is fine with people who want to stay at the same level. Some firms have an explicit up or out policy. Others don't, but they have an expectation that you consistently work hard as if you were targeting a promotion, and if you don't, you will be labeled an underperformer, and that may cause other problems. When it is bonus time or layoff time, all firms, regardless of up or out culture, prioritize the "up-and-coming" people over the "doing just enough to not get fired" people.

Depends on the firm. BCG had very up or out culture so if they don’t think you can cut it at next level within 2 years you’ll get the boot

It's honestly depends on the environment and economy. The cut dead weight way faster when the business is going to miss targets
