Totally ruined mine. I’ve forgotten general small talk to start up convos if people don’t start them

There was a good period of time where I barely left the house. So then doing anything out in the world was actually a huge stress for me. Wfh definitely contributed a lot, because I wasn't leaving 5 days a week. I don’t care to be back in the office either. Had to push myself to go out and about more and that helped me a lot.
Working remotely has made me more introverted too, but I’ve found that regular video calls and virtual coffee chats help me stay connected. It’s a tough balance between missing in-person interactions and enjoying the peace of WFH. You’re definitely not alone in feeling that way
Maybe I'm an outlier, I've worked in the office and worked remotely and now I'm back in the office. And it really doesn't matter that much in terms of social skills. I mean, even when I was working remotely I was still dealing with people, friends, neighbors, delivery guys, whoever. It's not like I was in a monk's cell on Skellig Michael or something. And when I'm in the office it's not like small talk presents some big challenge.
I started my career in a remote job and was there for two years. Just started a new hybrid role and adjusting/ understanding office culture has been ROUGH.
Looking back, I’ve definitely became more introverted because I was always hiding behind a screen at my old job.
