But it is not something which can be controlled by us. Why is it considered? If your org keeps you on bench and that hits your utilisation that your orgs problem that they did not have any projects?
If you're above 70/75% util then it's good. It's not like higher util will get higher hikes. But you're expected to have atleast a min # above which anything is a bonus
If you've 40-50% util, then they review your case and there has to be a strong reason for that, and also you should have some very strong firm initiative work - for the 50% of the time you were on bench
