How international is your consulting experience in Singapore?

I’ve spent 3 years at a US firm here, but 99% of my clients are local firms (based in SG, no operations overseas). I’m grateful for the experience and I learn a lot, but I’d like to work with international firms a bit more, even just one where I can lead more. Local bosses say foreign decision-making doesn’t happen in Singapore, but that doesn’t seem true in such a global hub. What’s your take? How’s consulting life in Singapore?
