This is what I’ve heard
Staff augmentation, IT firm 👎
It’s bad :/.
We’re a sinking ship and all the top people are already leaving or trying to leave
However, peer to peer culture is actually pretty great. You’ll meet a lot of people you really like. Issue is with leadership. They try to compete with other firms on price. So, most of us are underpaid. It’s so bad that you’ll see many recent hire college grads come in with a better salary than a large portion of senior cons.
That being said if any of y’all hiring let me know...
Too many low margin, long term projects. Those got hit even harder by covid.
My opinion? I would say the biggest issue is a lack of talent upscaling. There is 0 investment on new skills and abilities from cap. So, even when we can actually sell decent work there’s not enough skill to go around.
Millennials in this firm (Consultant, Senior Consultants) are great: Bright, talented, work hard and can be on par with big 4.
Middle management (Ms, SMs Directors) is a mix: I’ve encountered more bad apples than good apples. They are biased, like to promote nice quiet people than people who can actually deliver, making top talents frustrated.
Execs, VPs, EVPs are pretty good.

There’s a reason why they’re called Crapgemini
I’ve seen their work first hand and it’s bad.
Rising Star
I'm at Capgemini Government Solutions and love the culture and people. For context, I've worked at Deloitte commercial and a few others
They’re pretty good at marketing. Not so great at delivery.
Pro
This is an excellent summary of my encounters with them at my clients and when I was in industry and they kept trying to have us hire them.
Capgemini has acquired some pretty well respected companies in recent history. Altran is a serious engineering firm, Leidos is a serious cyber firm etc. I can’t say how their culture is now, but they seem to be working hard to get away from the reputation as an Indian comparable company. I wouldn’t discount them right off the bat.
