Hi Sharks, how's Samsung India for Product Management role? How's the pay scale, work life balance and culture?

I have a question, I got a contract role through a recruiter. Initially the recruiter offered the hourly pay rate which was the minimum in my range. Now I got an offer from the company. Now without me asking her she increased the hourly wage to the maximum range I asked. Which makes me doubt if the company increased it or she knew the rate all along but gave me the lower rate ?

My current company is “taking me off payroll” but instead of laying me off or firing me, are fully expecting me to take up an hourly contractor position for $30/hour with no specified time or guarantee of hours. How do I respectfully tell them no?

Currently in Interview process with EPAM Systems in Canada for Performance analyst role ( Performance testing / engineering ) and also Test Automation role. I am new to Canada and have about 6 years experience in each field. What would be salary ranges offered? Other services companies in market are offering in 105 -120 range.

I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. There are so many job postings and applicants I can’t tell if they would be beneficial to show effort or just a waste of time to write with how little time I assume people are looking at applications with the mass hiring going on. I am in a tech IC position. One of friends switched to FAANG by converting the profile to consultant profile. The friend who might have less tech knowledge than me is now in FAANG and earning more. If the end goal would be that the friend might one day be a product manager and me an engineering manager taking instructions from the same friend, isn't consultant profile an easier path to growth. I had been practising DSA for years and the competition is only ever growing.

The comparable positions at my company are filled by one of the big executive search firms. I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager.
