How is Google reacting to coronavirus? Starting tomorrow and renting a room without kitchen, worried they’ll make me work remote as I was depending on campus for food, laundry, etc.

My entire worldview/outlook on my career and what I want has changed since covid happened. Can someone explain what being “of counsel” is like at larger law firms - are they independent contractors? Make their own hours? How do you get a gig like that? I don’t think I want to be a partner anymore.
