Hi Fishes, I cleared technical and MCQ round at Accenture. And got a mail stating i have been selected for HR round. Later the same day a hr called and asked me to upload all documents and asked my expected CTC and stuff. Earlier in portal it was showing interviewing , now it shows review or pending and has a message ' we regret to inform that you experience does not align with req, we will contact if anything comes up' , what does this mean. How can they put something like this?

Heard Deloitte maybe toxic, has high attrition and bad WLB! Heard nothing good or bad about KPMG.
Not everyone can handle the number 1 talent experience 😌
Former KPMG here...can answer part of it:
Levels goes Assoc > Sr Assoc > Manager > Director > MD > Partner
Solid culture, more laid back I think but generalization would be that it’s not as good as Deloitte in most areas. At least in finance/tech side, D won a large number of projects over us. Pay is also worse than D usually although high demand areas will pay.
One big plus is I think a lot less is required in terms of firm initiatives and internal work. My friends at D always complained about that but it wasn’t bad at kpmg at all.
Things like creating a 5 year technology roadmap for a company. Assess current solutions by finance function and then develop recommendation and potential implementation roadmaps based on that. All the stuff that the client never actually follows through on...

It’s a big 4 audit firm with tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of employees. There is no “culture” at a company that large!
One is KPMG and one is Harvard. You tell me…
and KPMG is still KPMG. You’ll figure it out one day…🤮
Depends on your level. A lot of that is optional at junior levels although you are encouraged to participate.
KPMG is generally more relaxed, but it’s also more hierarchical. I’ve been unlucky to be on super high burn projects at KPMG. Deloitte folks were - on average - stronger/higher performing and had more technical sophistication and skill. Obviously differs on a case by case basis, met great and terrible people at both. Agree that there is less firm initiative work, though I found you can manage it at either place once you get the hang of the culture.
Also, both companies have subcultures that depend on internal alignment, industry, and even individual accounts or projects so YMMV.
Yes there are many firm initiatives and extra non chargeable work I had to be involved in. Lot of it is just bs non value add too and just a check the box activity to say you did it.
