Sounds like you're looking at a P&G gig. It really depends on which part of P&G, but tbh, P&G is not what it was 10 years ago. Even Tide which used to do great work, is kinda coasting on very formulaic work.
Some of their accounts can be ok, but some are tougher. The OTC health stuff (Pepto. NyQuil) is really dry and cookie cutter. Fabric care is a bit better. Oral care is very boring.
Saatchi as a whole also doesn't have a culture anymore, they're just run by Public is to service P&G. Which is fine. Depending your account it could be a decent, stable enough gig. But there really isn't the same vibe they used to have.
as someone who works there, yeah, no more culture. it is awful
Afaik there are 2 Saatchi NYs. One is attached to Saatchi LA / Dallas and only does Optimum + new business. The other is called PG1 internally, only works on P&G, and it does not associate with the other NA Saatchi offices.
The Optimum client is a mixed bag. I heard they re-org'd late last year which caused a decent cut to their scope and forced a few people to get taken off the account.
New business is something I don't know much about other than we have like a 20% win rate. Most of the people working on it are good, so I'm not sure what the issue is.
I believe all NY Publicis agencies share one office and it's crowded. That's all I've got.
P&G is the “jewel in the crown” for Saatchi so a solid and stable gig. They’re one of the best marketers in the world so a good client too.
