When comparing work culture at Genpact to other service-based IT companies, it’s important to remember that culture can vary widely depending on the company, project, managers and team
From my experience, Genpact has a different vibe than the typical service-based firms. I spent almost three years at Wipro and then two years at KPMG. Wipro had a decent culture, but KPMG was notably better. recognition for work was appreciated, and the team atmosphere was strong. I did notice some micromanagement at KPMG occasionally, but it wasn’t overwhelming.
Now, having been at Genpact for a year, I find it to be a great place in terms of work-life balance. The project is interesting, and my teammates are supportive and collaborative. The salary hikes are similar to those in other service-based companies.
I can't speak for every project at Genpact, though. Regarding your mention of LTI, I’ve heard quite a few negative reviews about them as well. I actually received an offer from LTI last year, but friends advised against joining due to their concerns about frequent project changes and lack of stability. I’ve seen similar feedback on the fishbowl ltimindtree page.
Overall, Genpact stands out positively in my experience, but always consider the specific project and team when evaluating any role.
Both companies are almost the same, but i would definitely not suggest to go for LTI.
Here is the reason:
One of my friend joined LTI, Noida in February’24, he was on bench till May-June’24. HR keeps on saying that you will allocated soon in a project, but no luck.
He then asked, why he got hired if they wanted to put him on bench. HR answered: looking at the future projections of the requirement.
He then again started interviewing and got another offer.
So check with your HR, if the hiring is being done for the ongoing project or seeing the future projections.
I am not saying it is wrong, many company follows the same strategy, but u can confirm once with your HR
