Is it unreasonable to ask someone from PT timezone to follow ET hours for 1 month during critical phase of the project? To be specific.. starting 9AM ET. Work day typically gets over at 6p ET or sooner sometimes, and this person makes it such a big deal and makes it sound like they are doing team a favor.
Honest thoughts of coming in as an “experienced” hire into Deloitte’s Human Capital Practice? How is the culture? What’s the workload like/WLB? How are the training opportunities? Compensation? Any insight/advice is much appreciated!
Have any of you ladies who are married to someone outside of your culture struggled with raising your kids with both of your cultures? Do any of you regret not marrying someone in your culture because it would have been easier?
I want to hear everyone's honest opinions on unlimited PTO policies. Call me old-fashioned, but I miss having an allotted number of days we were allowed to use annually. Seems like there are no companies following that model anymore. Unlimited PTO messes with my head and for some reason I get more paranoid about what people are thinking if I do.
I'm wondering if there's a difference in salary negotiation culture in the UK comparing to the states? Like people should be more reserved or something? Any specific phrases or sentences often used?
How can I deal with this situation where a new subordinate keeps calling BS on company values. He makes a very valid point in some cases but it’s a constant battle where he complains a lot. It gotten to a point where HR think he’s always being negative about things. I don’t think start up life is a good fit for him culturally. What can I do?
Hello fellow HR pros! I really need your opinions on HR certifications. I am deciding between PHR and SHRM-cp. I have read just about all there is online comparing the two and can not decide. My heart is telling me PHR, my mother in law (an HRBP) is telling me to go with SHRM, as it’s more widely recognized, more established and a larger network in general. I work for a 350~ company who is growing rapidly through M&A. Passions/interests are compliance, strategic vision, M&A, branding and culture
Which b-school has the best culture?

Question here - been at a new job for a bit and have discovered that the culture is extremely misogynistic. It’s been 6 months and I have had to go to HR twice. I want to leave, but don’t want to seem like a jumper - but then again, what does it say about a future employer if they judge me for leaving a bad work environment? Feeling conflicted. Thoughts ?
Pros and cons about working at/for Ayzenberg? Need to make a decision and would love some honesty about the work culture there, specifically in creative teams. I would be leaving a company where I am super comfortable with my team and feel heard/noticed. No weird toxic hierarchy situations, don’t want to leave if that’s the case at Ayzenberg.

Everyone at my agency director+ is married or in a serious relationship and I feel they perpetuate a culture that doesn’t give ppl time and space to date. I feel guilty for attempting to not be alone.

I got a grad internship offer from LEK, but am concerned about the culture. I’ve heard that LEK has turned into a sweatshop, even by consulting answers. Anyone from L.E.K. Consulting have any input they’d be willing to share about actual hours?

26, no kids or debt, making 175k/Yr - miserably bored at work and want to work for a startup. In the size startups I want for the role I want I’d have to take 50% pay cut Thoughts?
I make only 60k and I found out me and like 4 other people in my new hire class are the only ones that make this little. What the fuck? Everyone is constantly flexing on this app about their pay...

Got inquiry for an account executive role for a health insurance company. Not sure if I’m qualified but I’m curious to see if it’s a viable stretch role. Any advice/insight into how I can cont.
Seems like my offer at Deloitte is getting slow walked. Anyone know of anything going on within human capital around hiring freezes/pauses and/or offer rescinding?
