How long after an interview should I follow up?

After graduating in May, I finally landed my first interview after about 8 months of applying places. The interview was 3 days ago (Tuesday) for a cost analyst position. It was a simple phone screening that took less than 10 minutes. I thought it went well. The recruiter said they will let me know by the end of the week if I made the next round of interviews. However, it’s now Friday with no response. Should I assume they moved on or be patient?

I have a question, I got a contract role through a recruiter. Initially the recruiter offered the hourly pay rate which was the minimum in my range. Now I got an offer from the company. Now without me asking her she increased the hourly wage to the maximum range I asked. Which makes me doubt if the company increased it or she knew the rate all along but gave me the lower rate ?
