I took ages and didn’t do it until literally the month before I was getting promoted to manager and I needed it to get promoted. Took the summer off after school to backpack Europe for three months and don’t regret it. It was a piece of cake to actually take it after being employed for so long. I spent three days studying for FAR and very little time on the other tests. I literally took it the last day of the last period for me to get my test results in time to get promoted. Wild. I thought I was gonna fail too, so I was horribly hung over during the exam. Is it the smart way to do things? Probably not. But when else do you get three months off to backpack the world? Don’t stress too much over it.
Graduated in May years ago. Took all four exams before my start date in September. Ended up needing to retake one and did that in December.
If at all possible get your exams done before starting.
My starting class got delayed when I graduated so I took the summer off and started officially studying in August, tested and passed 3 sections till Jan when I started, then started my last section (on and off, failed once by missing 2 points) and passed in Oct.
Graduated several years ago in December had them passed by June, luckily did all first try
Took my first exam the month I graduated. Failed one but was able to pass all four before the 1 year of work requirement
I was able to get my certificate once I was ENROLLED in my final semester to get the 150 credits. Then you send a follow up showing you passed.
About a year and half. 2 done before I started, then failed the next took but passed on the second try each time
started studying as soon as i finished undergrad (mid may) finished my last exam in december, so roughly 8 months, passed all on the first try
