Progressive Insurance How many claims a day do you get? What are the metrics you have to hit? How strict is the company? Are managers flexible? Do they offer condensed work weeks? What does the health insurance cost per month for a family? I have an interview for a litigation role, but I'm reading things about the work load and strict metrics on employee sites that are making me nervous.

Just applied as underwriter, these are Greta questions! Following for an answer

It’s been the best company I’ve ever worked for. That being said, Progressive is my first claims position so idk how other insurance company are in this field. I’m in commercial injury. Workload is high and metrics are tough. I’ve loved every manager I’ve ever been paired with and they really have been so helpful with my growth.

There is a lot of mobility within the organization, so changing positions is relatively easy if you nail the interview. The amount of claims changes per roll so I’m not sure what litigation gets. Urbi is capped at 2 injuries per day, HOWEVER, that could mean one claim with 2 injuries, or 2 claims- first claim only has 1 injury, but if the second you get has a bus for ex, with MANY INJURIES, you’re handling every injury on that bus (plus all property damages). This seems to be the case more often than not.

Their health insurance benefits suck compared to other companies tho. My husband and I pay about 550 mo for standard insurance, but they do offer HSA which could cut cost depending on how much you wish to contribute, but of course the deductible for that is high (around 7k for a family for the year).

That being said, I love it here. I am usually a job hopper bc of how shitty these companies are now a days, but really struggling with the thought of leaving Progressive. I plan to be here for a while.

Which companies have best WLB, least stressed DS/DA roles? Doesn’t have to be high-paying, as long as it can support my life (single) and long-term medical cost. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have accepted an offer at a competitor company and sent in my resignation letter. My start date is 5 weeks from now so I put in my end date 4 weeks from date letter was signed. The manager said I had to leave the job in 2 days and the company can only play 2 weeks of work. Is it normal how they do that?

My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most, how pissed would you be if you were a supervisor and you had a new direct report on your team with a higher salary than you? The years of experience are the same, but you have 3 designations (they have 0), you have 3 licenses (they have just 2), they have little to no experience with technical complex claims (you have hundreds), and you have 3 years in management (they have 0).
