I get pushing for a return to full-time office work but I don't understand why more hybrid models cannot be accommodated. Acc to me, the reasons for RTO are valid only as long as they include easier mentoring and training of junior employees, maintaining company culture, and to a certain extent, better monitoring of employees. If the reasons extend beyond any of these, I wouldn't personally vouch for it.
That's amazing! Good for you and the entire company
Full time return to office certainly makes sense for certain roles & employees, but not all. Especially when taking things into consideration like commute and specific job tasks. I’m mainly based in a different location than the people I work with, so whether I’m working from a physical office or home office, all of my communication is done via the computer either way.
That's great! Enjoy that for yourself :)
It is literally making life so much more complicated having to return to the office. Life is not the same as it was pre Covid- I now have small children who are used to seeing me when they wake up and when they go to bed at night- now with returning to the office and a long commute I’m lucky to see them twice a week . I hate it so much and my job function does not require me to be in office . My team are also located In multiple locations. It is soul crushing
That's horrible. I hope that there'll be a change in the work week model in your company but seeing that most companies want to be ruthless about this matter, I wouldn't have too much hope.
