People say tons of opportunities come to you (rather than you look for them) once you’re in MBB but I don’t think I get so many…ok I’ve only been at BCG for 4 months but I’m an experienced hire with 2.5 YOE. PE investment 🐠, how often do you do CDDs to actually diligence the asset and you would be happy if the report is not fully positive vs. you have already decided to acquire the asset and just need a positive report to convince the IC and lenders?

Do PE companies know that many CDD partners would make their team’s life miserable if the story is not positive because they think investment teams won’t work with them as often if they raise red flags? All T2 firms do it, many MBB partners do it too.

Hello Folks, Due to very toxic environment I had put down paper w/o having any offer. Fortunately, within 2 weeks of NP I cleared interviews for almost 4-5 organisations. All HR, had said that in last month of NP they'll release an offer, just so that I won't have a counter offer. Now, almost 2 weeks are left for NP to end, and surprisingly all of them are ignoring my mails, calls and texts. Please suggest. I'm losing patience as I was looking for switch since April 2022. @

I'm currently in a process for senior associate at a Big4. The process began on July, yet between the first and second interview it took like 3-4 weeks. And between the 2nd and 3rd like 7 weeks. I sent an email to HR during those weeks asking for an update and didn't have an answer. Then it a 3rd one was scheduled three times (the manager didn't connect to the first 2) and next week I have the last interview with 1 partner. Is the timing normal? Or were they looking for other candidates or what?

Got an offer that I am not too excited about but really need to get out of current job. I have a few other potential interviews in the pipeline. Do I accept this job (incl. sign contract) and bail later or do I reject?

If I buy a car from a private seller out of state where I’m paying off their lien, then there’s a delay until the bank and dmv sync up and release the lien on the title, does the car just have to stay with the seller or I have to pay to ship it to me? I don’t see how I can drive it back without the title, which is required to get a temp transport plate. Car is in Wisconsin I’m in Illinois, and lien is with Chase bank.

Has anyone seen other (covid round 3) applicants who received large scholarships when on paper it seems they shouldn’t have? I know someone at a M7 who has 2 YOE at a boutique consultancy, 720 GMAT, 3.8~ gpa from a top 70 Ugrad, is a ORM, has weak extracurriculars, and did their entire application in less than a month who not only got in, but received a ~80k scholarship.
