I have 18 days to study for CIA EXAM Part 1.

I can dedicate 5-6 hours a day. Is that doable?

Hell yeah you can, part 1 is easy. Just actually study for it lol

like

you won’t know if you don’t try right? go for it, get in the best, most focused study sessions you can and hope for the best!

Just take as many practice questions as can, and understand for the ones you get wrong why and freshen up in those areas

I took CIA when I had about 10 years of experience (total years work, not all focused in audit). I took a few practice tests and spent a few hours familiarizing myself with the material. I took all parts in one sitting. I found it super easy. If you took Audit in college and have been working in internal audit for a few years and study a little, you should be fine.

That could be.

Absolutely!

Read Gleim and do the practice questions. You'll be fine.

Easily doable. Gave it last year with pretty much the same prep

OP, did you pass the part 1 exam?

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

Hey Dallas folks!

I want to get to know the local private companies. I worked at a private company with 2-3k employees before my MBA. They had an amazing culture, but limited progression opportunities. I'm thinking about looking for a smaller company (couple hundred to couple thousand employees) in the Dallas area and looking to find an amazing culture.

Anyone have recommendations on companies with great cultures in the Dallas/north of Dallas areas? (I live in the Plano/Allen/Mckinney area)
