So I just recently passed my CPA exams and I’m now looking for new opportunities. I’m hoping to work at a big 4 firm in tax and possibly connect with anyone working there right now. Please reach out to me, I would look forward to connecting and learning more about potential opportunities. Thanks!EY PwC Deloitte KPMG

Stick it out for atleast another year
You don’t have to stick it out for 2 years. It’s a myth, senior roles will come at the same time as people who leave PA after 2 years.
I was an “acting senior” and now that I’m an actual senior, you’re not an “acting senior” as an associate. I know for a fact that Managers and SMs and MDs in the team pick up the slack and work more to protect us associates.
In another note, my advice is to endure til you’re a senior associate. Once I got the SA title, there are better opportunities. If you’ve been looking around, the job requirements almost always say “2-3 years B4 experience” anyway good luck 👍
My advice is to wait until you are a manager and then you can find a much better position. I want partner so am staying with PA. Grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
I left at 1 year and 7 months back in 2019- don't listen to anyone telling you that you need to stay x amount of time more for any reason. If you want to leave and see something interesting go do it. Promotions and salary will balance themselves in the end (provided you perform well and have a CPA).
I literally just quit my PA job after about 1.5 years total. I’m moving into a financial analyst position at the senior level. Leave when you feel like it’s best for you.
