Everyone talks about FAANG and often times it seems like they mean “Google” or maybe fb/amazon. I never hear about Apple. What are consultant exits like there? Anyone know someone who made the jump?

Some of my friends work there and they said it’s pretty toxic, definitely not glamorous like Google.

H

I know three people who work there, and basically, it’s fun and glamorous and all due to the prestige of the name and excellence in performance. However, you realize that aside from that, you’re not getting paid the most for the amount of hours you work, and the environment can get toxic. People sometimes forget that people are human and have lives.

Roles: one in hardware engineering; one in supply chain / procurement; one in software engineering. Software engineering can be chill, but you aren’t rewarded for being chill and developing people. You’re rewarded for results.

I think the culture is closer to Netflix.

Hi everyone. I'm pretty early in my career (just over 1 YOE) & not really enjoying my current role as a Consultant/Developer because of the type of projects I get combined with some mobility issues. However, I'm really interested in technical program management or project management and I'm looking for any advice on how to get there bc I've been applying, but can't even seem to get a call back.

(Also would really appreciate some likes on this post to get my 11 likes out of the way 😀)

Hi everybody! 😊
I've been working as a Junior Analog Design Engineer for a year and half.
I received a proposal for a Senior Analog Designer role from Bosch in the same city where I am currently working.
Should I wait and build up a few more years of experience before accepting a Senior role or should I jump in and work to fill the gap?
Next year, there will be an important deadline for the project I'm working on and my resignation could be critical for the team, how would you deal with it?

I’m a business/commercial lawyer with 8 years experience looking to relocate to Chicago from NYC area, while also trying to make the jump to in-house after only ever working at a boutique firm. It’s been 5 months and I haven’t had any luck applying to job postings on the usual sites (no calls, no interviews, nothing). I can’t tell if this is due to covid, the market, the fact that I don’t have any in-house experience, the fact that I live out of state, or something else entirely. Any insights??

I own a small growing real estate/corporate law firm in Chicago and looking for another associate. Tough sledding. Looking for someone 2-5 years out with commercial real estate experience. Maybe a big or medium firm associate looking for some work life balance and a different approach. Anyone know anyone?
