I’m based in London, unlike most of this app. Must say, I could not do NYC/the US when it comes to holidays.

Where are you folks located? And is it employer/company policy, or government mandated?
I’ve done the grind-for-a-promotion thing too, but it wore me down fast. I try to take at least a long weekend each quarter now, it helps me recharge without derailing momentum. A break can actually make you sharper! I've taken 8 days so far this year and plan to take another 12 before the end of the year holidays (which we automatically get off).
I live in France and I get 5 weeks. It's still not enough 🤪
I take my whole month. Same last year. And I got promoted last year too, vp
Oh boy, it is nice to advance at work; however, it is also important to balance work and life; I feel happier when I take time for me and my family and that impacts work in a positive way. Get some rest, take time off and do something fun.
I haven't taken any time off yet this year, but I'm going to the UK for two weeks at the end of the month. I really need it, I've also been going hard and it's been very stressful. Hopefully you can take some time off soon.
That's great you are working hard! I love to hear it. I get around 2 weeks to 4 weeks. This year I will also get two months of paid maternity leave.
A couple weeks at least
I've taken 7 days so far? One for an actual vacation. One for a long weekend -- so I took Monday off for a weekend trip. And one for an actual sick day.
13 ish? I moved from a company with a set amount of vacation to one with unlimited and wound up taking way less time off. I'm trying to be intentional about taking more time this year.
I take 3-4 weeks PTO annually. I get 7 weeks and have carried an additional 2 weeks over for many years…. but I’m always too busy to use all of that PTO.
I take 2-3 weeks of vacation per year. We usually do one bigger vacation (10ish days) and then long weekend trips throughout the year. I save the rest of my PTO for sick days and to take time off to spend with family around the holidays.

At least 2-3 weeks and carry over what left to the following year, except some impromptu appointments comes up
I get 5 weeks. I used to have a bit more and was allowed carryover, in my new role it cashed out at the end of the year.

I have 6 weeks to use this year and I’ll probably use 3. Taking a week off in July for the first time in many years.
Because of my tenure I get 5 weeks. However, we can accrue up to 1 year’s worth so I usually have 2-4 weeks already in the bank going into a new year. I’ve taken 2 weeks this year. Our company will no longer pay out on unused vacation if you leave, so many are trying to use more often so not to lose.
I usually take 15-20 days, one 2 week trip and two 1 week trips per year, occasional Friday off for a long weekend here and there, usually when the holiday falls on Monday. Take your PTO, it’s part of your benefits package, work will always be there, adventures can’t wait!
25-30 days, located in the Midwest.
