How much AI integration has your company pursued? We honestly haven’t done much. We just have a company-based chat bot they encourage us to use to write emails and such, but nothing that actually streamlines my work.

My understanding is that some roles have been using AI tools, but I'm not aware of how productive any of that has been. I haven't been roped into using it myself. I don't see much point to using it as I'm not sure I could depend on what it produces. I'm not entirely closed-minded when it comes to AI, though I'm still skeptical that it will make me more efficient.

We've been leaning into it hard for basically everything. Visualizations, comms, note-taking. I'm a fan. I'm saving a ton of time on tedious stuff and it hasn't caused too many headaches yet.

like

I’d be nervous using it for visualizations. Had you ever had it hallucinate numbers/stats on you?

I ask it questions. Sometimes it’s right, sometimes it’s very off. You still need a brain to know if it’s right. My company wants us to build agents and it may be improving but I think we are still months away from it being truly useful. Then it should “help” as drafts for things. I don’t find that it gives me a good email draft or proofreads my writing well. It all depends on the ai we are given.

like

That’s a good way to put it. AI is pretty good, but I don’t think it will ever fully replace the human brain.

Pretty much same here. And they block the mainstream tools.

like

We can thankfully use Copilot, but that’s the only other approved AI.

Mine is kinda like yours. I feel like we are under utilising AI 100%

Not a whole lot.

Additional Posts in Jobs in Finance

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
