I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. Currently leaving my company to get my MBA. At the company I work for now I get a lot of exposure to the board. (VCs backed start up). What is the best way to utilize this relationship to potentially break into high finance after my MBA?

I currently work in commercial banking and have been contemplating the switch to private credit / direct lending. Right now I’m struggling with where we are in the economic cycle as I feel private credit is less secure in downturns but would give me more career upside.
