Lol OP, you just proved your point that this is already happening, not that it will eventually happen. Deloitte has always lost top talent to MBB and this will continue to happen, nothing new

Aren’t good enough for what MBB does...which hasn’t materially changed in 30 years.
Got an offer at McKinsey, there are folks good enough but choose not to go because of a host of other factors, didn’t encounter one non-white person throughout my 7 round cluster f of a process, smh @ M1... get a grip.
180-220 base depending on track record and 20% bonus
Think the bonus is higher, probably 25-30%
So is asking for $170k as an experienced hire at the Manager level too much?

Yeah the base isn’t far off but Deloitte pays a fraction of the MBB bonus. Deloitte seems to cap out at around 75k bonus while MBB goes to 200k or more

M1 you are right that I may not be good enough. However, this means that Deloitte will either never attract top talent or at some point lose them to MBB.
KPMG 1 has the most valid comment here. I actively decided on non-MBB in order to grow and to support the establishment of my side hustle. Firm believer that anyone can do anything anywhere; it’s all a matter of how you choose to invest your time and energy
I don’t think we “deserve” more pay. I am just saying that if the salaries are far from being competitive then we will never be able to compete on talent which in turn would mean less than best quality work. We need to able to attract talent that deserves that pay.
