I resigned from TCS in August and in another 18 days it's my LWD with TCS, now i got call from my lead saying they will provide canada onsite opportunity and he said he has multiple projects at onsite which he can give me, some are saying it's just a gimmick to retain you nothing else, my DM asked me to say yes or no by tomorrow so that he can start the process he said once i get approval mail then only i can take back my resignation. I can’t believe safety on public transportation is a political issue.
The CTA spent $91M on security services in 2024, majority of which came from public funding (your taxes). We should be able to take public transportation without having to look over your shoulder 24/7.
Especially with the amount of money that goes into safety.

What an illogical question. Taxes for CTA goes towards, well CTA. Taxes we pay for police goes towards finding criminals. Hate on CTA all you want, but we Chicagoans love our CTA. It is the main fabric that holds the city together. You are happy to pay billions to terrorize and ruin immigrant communities for no reason. You have a problem with public transit for the whole city for fewer billions. Typical delusional MAGA!
If you look into the CTA budget (it’s all publicly available) you can see for “Security Services” they spent $69M in 23’, spent $91M in 24’ and proposed a budget of $85M in 25’.
With over $1B of their total budget being publicly funded, I’d imagine we can get better security for the CTA with the amount they spend yearly on security. But we don’t, and that’s the issue.
