How much will be in hand ?

I was in the final stages of an interview with Microsoft two weeks ago, in partner marketing. Then the recruiter told me they were putting the hiring process on hold to assess the need for the role. Well, then we heard about Microsoft layoffs last week. Seems like most were in Xbox and Project Alpha but there’s not a lot of information out there. Should I hold out any hope that I’m going to get this job? Any insights on how much these layoffs have impacted the marketing org and/or new hiring?

I work in the CPG food/bev space at an F100. SM base at midpoint is around 170k with 15% bonus.
Usually base is $140 - 200k with a 10-20% bonus
Director level goes $200-250k with a 10-20% bonus
OP - I’m a Manager, and Perdue, Hershey, and a few others have offered me $215-230k with a 20% bonus at the (Sr.) Director level, so definitely a paycut was required
I think it depends on the company. I have seen closer to $90-$120k for senior manager, $120-$175k for Director, and $175-225k for senior director. For a senior manager role, $130k is generous.
Where are you working that you’re making more than that? I was making $120k as a third year manager at Deloitte. Sheesh.
Thanks this is helpful! I work at S& and our post mba base is $168k
I’ve been hearing a lot of 145k (Fortune 500 / retail)
So with the note that title mapping varies between companies and bands overlap i have seen 110-$140K for manager and $140-$190K for Senior Manager.
Director is more like $170-$225K. Note these were not exactly strategy but for strategic finance / and sales /operations strategy roles. I have a friend in strategy at a F500 industrial who gave me similar numbers though.
These are base. Senior manager / director bonus targets i have seen 18-25%. Sometimes there is equity especially with tech companies.
$130k for senior manager, strategy in industry seems weak - currently hiring for a manager, cxi and the comp range is $100k-$150k plus 20-25% bonus, and not in a tier 1 city - expect to offer the selected candidate somewhere in the 130s
I work for a food/bev startup now as a SM with 180k base, 20% bonus, and equity
