A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise. Not all the time or even most of the time compared to better candidates with specific experience for the role but gives you this wildcard shot at a vast array of opportunities.

Have offers for AMEX and VISA at a Senior Manager Strategy role. Both offers are almost identical in base and annual bonus.

Which firm has faster growth to Director and better long term success?

HiAll, My lead resigned and my manager informed me just 2 weeks before her lwd on this and asked me to take up all their responsibilities. I don't think this is not a professional way to handle things and KTs are not properly given. I'm really worried if this will affect my career. I'm not really interested to work in this project. I have tried many ways to release me from this project . But manager is really amendment to release as there is no senior member in the team.

After BCA + MBA I was always looking for functional roles like Pre-sales, Busiess analyst, etc. But now I'm completely in sales with 3 yrs of experience.
Also I have seen that some people have switched from Sales into BA, Pre sales, Product management, etc.
I also want to hop in BA, Pre-sales any advice for me ?

My current CTC is 4.2 lpa and even a fresher earns more than 6+ lpa.

This annual appraisal I have got a good % of appraisal increment on my salary but I was not promoted to a senior developer (although I have been mentoring a junior dev in my team and been part of building the project by implementing new technologies and tweaks) and my total YoE is 3.5+ years. One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
