Going to be company dependent. I work for large publicly traded company and we’re properly staffed and close in 4 days. We work 10hr days those 4 days and the rest of the month is 8hrs a day.
This. Really depends on company & staffing. One of the companies I was at, M/E close was a nightmare.
So I have been in wealth services industry accounting for about 4 years now. It does get busy during reporting periods But it truly depends on the company/client and what your task are. However, imo it’s not as busy as audit/tax.
Nothing compares to how bad audit is. Lol if you work in tech as a senior accountant you aren’t gonna be very busy and if you came from big 4 audit you’ll never feel busy in tech lmao
It’s not that bad. But be prepared to do the same tasks/JEs/recs every month or quarter
