How to cope with this job market? While I got hired again it has traumatized me.

My dad got laid off again this month within 6 months into his new role and lost his previous role last year in July requiring him to do 2 months of job search since that company shut down and today also again the NBFC he's working for is winding down due to issues.

I got hired again and I'm a Junior Software engineer (2023 grad) but I already got laid off twice as well from my first 2 jobs too

Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. Before ending it she came over 3 weeks prior to basically give me a chance to work things out and we had a good discussion but then I went back into our routine and didn’t really fight for it or have serious follow up convos that we needed. Now I just have so many regrets that I let her go. I know we still love each other and left on “good” terms but can’t forgive myself for my lack of action.

It's sad to see people with 2-3 years of experience getting paid more than you when u have double the experience. 😄 Best part is they are still complaining of getting less. Well I guess you should never settle. New gen is giving a hard time to the experienced folks. I think this is the high time to upgrade your skills. Come out of your comfort zone and start looking for new opportunities. I think this is the best time to switch if u haven't already in quite some time.

My boss let a teammate go in 2 weeks with same NP who said that he had COVID and need a long break from work. He was actually switching job while he got COVID. Same story won't work for me.
