Over the last two decades, the term "strategic communications" has gained popularity. It entails instilling an agenda and a master plan into communications efforts. Typically, that master plan entails promoting an organization's brand, encouraging people to take specific actions, or advocating for specific legislation.

In the context of community management, this might involve developing messaging and content that supports the overall goals of the organization or project, and then distributing that information through channels that will reach the target audience. Simple as that.

Strategic communications is a term used to describe the art of planning and executing communication activities in order to achieve specific objectives. In layman's terms, it's basically just figuring out what you want to say, who you want to say it to, and how best to deliver your message.

I've worked in strategic communications for a few years now, and I often find that one of the hardest parts is simply trying to explain what it is we do. It's not an easy task because there can be so much involved in any given project. But at its core, strategic communications is all about finding ways to effectively communicate with your target audience - whether that means creating a new social media campaign or coming up with messaging for a website redesign. And really, who doesn't need help with communicating better?

It's basically all about using the most effective communication strategies and tactics. In layman's terms, it's about figuring out the best way to get your message across to your target audience.

I've worked in the community management industry for over 10 years, and strategic communications has always been a key part of my job. Whether it's coming up with a social media strategy that will resonates with our customers or developing an internal communications plan to keep our team informed and engaged, thinking through the best way to communicate is essential to achieving success.

Strategic communications is a term used to describe the process of planning and executing communication activities in order to achieve specific objectives. In other words, it's all about using communication as a tool to help reach your goals. It can be challenging work, but also very rewarding when done well.

I've worked in strategic communications for many years, and one thing I always keep in mind is that every step of the way - from researching and writing up a strategy, to creating messages and materials, to deciding which channels to use - needs to be focused on achieving the objectives set out at the start.

It simply means creating a plan for how you will communicate with your audience (or communities), and then executing that plan through various channels. Hope this helps!
