Companies sometimes follow a pay scale depending where the WFH employee is living. For instance, Idaho has a much lower cost of living than NY or LA.

I’d straight up ask. If you’re partners they should want the best for you, and you wanting fair compensation won’t bring theirs down. Otherwise you could go right to your CD and say that you’re aware of the pay gap and ask for an increase. I once found out about a pay gap when seeing how much we would charge the client for our hours
At my agency there’s our creative titles, then the corporate titles (SVP, Associate etc) and everyone’s in the same tier has the same bill rates.
Or they have family money? That’s really typical in our industry.
