Bain & Company Can any Bain & Company fish provide insight on Bain's expense policy? When WFH, at client site (outside of based city) and when working with local client...
It would also be helpful to provide insight on travel policy - first class in which flights, always 5-star hotels? Etc.
Thank you!

Honestly, no
No, hotel loyalty programs just aren’t worth it these days. Go agnostic and stay in the best hotel you can across all brands.
Facts only.
Titanium for life and I rarely stay at Marriott properties because they really don’t provide much of a benefit
Where do you stay)
Rising Star
Honestly once you make platinum you’re good bc you get access to the lounge.

Nah. Platinum is what’s required for lounge access.
Lifetime Platinum but been titanium for the past year or two (not quite sure how)... I dont think I can point to one notable difference. Definitely wouldn't do a 10 day mattress run for the extra level..not worth it.
As others have said elite status just isn't as valuable anymore... I spent years getting that lifetime platinum and it's definitely not all it's cracked up to be anymore.
Do you have one of the Marriott credit cards that offers 15 nights yet? That may be a better way to go - mine is $95/year and includes a free night certificate for 35,000 points
Thanks all. I have the Bonvoy credit card, but those nights are already included.
I will go on my honeymoon next year. Trying to max out benefits with one of the luxury properties. Not sure if that changes the equation…probably wouldn’t bother otherwise.
Do the elite nights from credit cards count towards lifetime status?
Rising Star
Not worth spending 1k
Depends on how much you will travel next year. You MIGHT get better priority for an upgrade - but def not worth it vs platinum.
But if you travel a lot next year, You also get a better multiplier next year on your points.
It’s all gone to shits
Lifetime Titanium here. IMO, Marriott lounges never recovered post-Covid. It's rare for lounges to have evening appetizers, dessert, breakfast, or alcohol these days. Mostly just snacks and water/soda in the fridge all day.
If you really want to get those 10 nights, book a business meeting. One meeting will get you 10 nights. I've emailed the hotel people saying I just need a conference room for a couple hours, no special stuff, they charged me like $50. Used to be able to do this a bunch of times and earn nights easily, but they capped it at one meeting couple years ago.
For 10 nights if you really want it just book a cheap Marriott property on points save the money
Ambassador status is really the only way to get good upgrades
