Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

From what I'd heard, it's best to get out quick (2-3 years) before you're forever pidgeon-holed as an "SAP guy" at which point it seems like leading SAP teams for companies is your only option. I recently bailed from the SAP practice for that very reason.
I went to a data analytics role at a startup, I largely purged my resume/LinkedIn of anything SAP-related and emphasized the strategic aspect of what I'd done at D (along with some technical skills I'd nurtured outside of work)
I never really explored SAP analytics so can't speak to that, you may also consider finding some analytics-based initiatives and really pushing for some work in them so you can talk to that on top of any SAP work when you decide to leave. I was very unhappy when they tagged me as SAP coming in so I can feel your pain.
Curious as well
Interested in the answers to this. Just starting out in SAP and am worried about exit opportunities if my experience is restricted to SAP consulting
@D2, where did you bail to? I’m not fully into SAP yet so I’m considering options
@D2 I’m trying to build experience in data analytics as well but got tagged onto SAP so considering going the SAP analytics route though not sure what opportunities exist in that space. But like you said, I don’t want to develop a core SAP skill set and have limited exit opportunities when the time comes
