Accenture strategy: How is ADP project experience viewed when decisions are made regarding career progression, bonus, etc.?
Can any at will employer adjust your salary unilaterally like we’ve seen done at several firms this year? Asking because I’m looking at some job offers and not sure how to assess the likelihood of a salary cut especially if the firm has done it before? First instinct is that they won’t lower it soon just because they’d look terrible right? But legally they could?
I just put an offer on a place and it was accepted. I’m also switching jobs before closing. Should I give everyone a head’s up since they may need to redo the numbers. Same salary, so no problem with DTI.
I’m really thinking about going back to school to obtain an MBA in like 2 years. Are there any certification(s) that I should get to increase my chances of getting employed by one of the MBB firms in the meantime? TIA
What are the Exit opps in bay area for a non tech background (mech engg) and mba with 5 years industry exp and 2 yrs m&a consulting? Zero coding skills.
What do MBA grads do at tech firms? The data on any B-School's website says that consulting pays more than tech to MBA grads, however, going by the threads on this app, it seems as if tech pays more. Does the website data not include RSUs? Or does consulting actually pay more? Thanks a lot for your time and effort!
Anyone familiar with Peak Rock Capital? Any idea on culture, hours, performance and / or comp for Associate? Thanks in advance!
KPMG Philly seniors, what year senior are you and is your old/new salary, any VC, and what service line?
Trying to decide between two portfolio ops roles, both in the Bay Area: Small-ish VC firm, ~135k base + 35k bonus Medium PE firm, ~115k base + 115k bonus Which would you choose? I’m leaning towards the PE firm bc it’s more hands-on, faster learning curve, and higher TC, but the VC role seems to have a better WLB and generally sounds cooler (getting exposed to VC vs continuing in the corporate world). What do you think?
Just found out I’ll be promoted to a new role with way more responsibilities next month. This is my first big “promotion” and I’ll have a few people reporting into me. Fear aside, I just realized
Booz Allen: sorry for the repost but I need to add details. 4 years consulting experience, MBA, doing general management consulting. Need info so I can negotiate my salary increase.
Manager level, looking to exit soon. M&A experience predominantly. Any tips on where to look first (or “how” to look, LinkedIn kinda sucks) and roles? Preferable compensation around $180-200k, otherwise why leave (not miserable, just exploring options) Any/all ideas welcome.
What can I do in the next 4 months to boost my chances? Shooting for HSW and MIT, and want to do Tech/VC/Entrepreneurship after MBA. Background: Asian female, 3 YOE at big 4 consulting by round 1 deadline this year, 4 YOE by enrollment time Stats: GMAT 740, GPA 3.9 from big 10 public school Rec: those who know me well went to T20-25, those who went to M7 don't necessarily know me well EC: strong undergrad club leadership, none outside of firm initiatives since I started consulting
How much are senior accountants in industry making in the bay area? would 90k- 95k (w or w/o bonus) be asking for too much with just 2 years of experience?
Evaluating an offer in Canada with Avanade base pay - 160k CAD, 6% annual bonus, 10k CAD sign on , location - Toronto. YoE - 11 years, already have a Canadian PR. Currently in the US employed with EY at 150k USD base, but on a H1B visa, GC EB3 PD 2019. Worth it? Avanade folks?
What are the potential exit opps from Finance Transformation? Pretty sick of process/tech in Finance function and want to do something more fulfilling 🥴
Where is Mr. Trump during all this? Even Trump supporters must agree this guy is completely MIA and not showing any leadership or trying to bring a sense of calm or unity to the nation.
Leaving the firm for grad school in a month. Trying to get a severance package but recently got a new career counselor. Do I tell her I'm going to grad school in a month? Or keep my mouth shut until I
In years you don’t make your bonus, what do your billable hours typically look like? Are you missing it by a hair or is it normal to have some years where you’re only billing 1600? I just finished my first year and trying to figure out what a “normal” slow year looks like compared to a pandemic slow year.
Any advice on how to get into the sales side of Investment Banking? I have above average experience, have a finance background degree but keep failing the initial application stages (before the interview stages) and then watch people on LinkedIn with less experience get roles with top banks. I understand that I need to figure out how to get past the application tracking systems but it can be really frustrating at times and advice online is often very generic (I.e. tell them about yourself).
SEEKING SALARY ADVICE: XD Director @ Salesforce, services not product. Any input would be fantastic. 🙌
What do you want to know? I'm interviewing a fellow ADHDer about overcoming struggles in the workplace. We're talking about how to be successful with ADHD at work. What should we discuss?
I asked a vice chair in my group to talk informally about working remotely going forward (we already are remote now and was largely flexible pre covid) and also a possible pay bump. This is my first salary/work benefit negotiation and I’m so nervous I might just unhire myself before we actually get to talk 😭😭
What’s the salary for M1 in deals
I have rollover IRA 180K all invested into FXAIX. Any suggestion on different diversity options and percentage I should invest in different options?
Hi everyone, Does anyone know about the org. structure at WNS in the Analytics field? I am having 3.3 yrs of exp and am given the offer of "Deputy Manager - Analytics". Can you help me know if the role is fine with respect to my experience? It would also be great if you could help me understand the org. structure or hierarchy of roles over there?
Which are the best programs in the T30 schools for international business? And would it be better to pursue an MBA with a global focus in the US or try to get into a school like LBS, INSEAD, IMD etc.? Thanks for your thoughts!

“The incorrect hypothesis that natural immunity is unreliable has resulted in the loss of thousands of American lives, avoidable vaccine complications, and damaged the credibility of public health officials “ https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2021/09/15/natural-immunity-vaccine-mandate/
Does anyone else find it difficult to ask for time off? I haven’t taken a “vacation day” since February, billed 185+ hour months consistently through the pandemic (exceeded hours for 2020 bonus eligibility), and am feeling pretty burnt out. It’s hard because other associates in my department haven’t really taken any time off either (or it has been a day or two sporadically). Would really love to take some days over Christmas to recharge but I’m nervous about perception.
Genuine question: What are the most common exit options at Google BizOps? (1) For internal transfer to PM, those teams seem to prefer to hire Google engineers. (2) For internal transfer to Chief of Staff, why those teams don’t promote their own Strategy & Op folks? (3) For BizOps internal promotion, there are not many Director positions. (4) For leaving Google, I don’t know where people usually go… Please share your thoughts / correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks!
If your CEO asked you to define and articulate what specific items HR and Talent own individually, where do you start? What other guidelines/guidance can you share? (Note that both report to the same executive, who does not have a human capital background)
Do you think I could expense a weekly meal delivery service (it’s precooked - just have to microwave it) during busy season? Would be delivered to the office and is cheaper than ordering in.
