Would really any and all help here. 🙏🙏

Can you elaborate as to what you’re done with in DDV? I’m a senior in DDV and get really mixed messages from directors and leadership about long terming in DDV. do you think life would actually be better at another B4? I’ve always thought going in house was the better route

I don’t like people I work with. I don’t mind the hours. I don’t find like my RL/ CP, and in two years have had feedback that’s as inconsistent as can be. From one snapshot saying my presentations skills are really bad to another saying that’s my core skill. I was told I am going to get promoted going into CRT d and then wasn’t with unhelpful reasoning of there were a lot of others also. And lastly I havent seen too many people leaving DDV for great roles in industry. Every one mentions the 5 people who do Corp dev but no one mentions the other 50 who are doing just really low level work in industry too as a mid tier middle manager.

Trying to decide between two portfolio ops roles, both in the Bay Area: Small-ish VC firm, ~135k base + 35k bonus Medium PE firm, ~115k base + 115k bonus Which would you choose? I’m leaning towards the PE firm bc it’s more hands-on, faster learning curve, and higher TC, but the VC role seems to have a better WLB and generally sounds cooler (getting exposed to VC vs continuing in the corporate world). What do you think?

Any advice on how to get into the sales side of Investment Banking? I have above average experience, have a finance background degree but keep failing the initial application stages (before the interview stages) and then watch people on LinkedIn with less experience get roles with top banks. I understand that I need to figure out how to get past the application tracking systems but it can be really frustrating at times and advice online is often very generic (I.e. tell them about yourself).
