If you can't get a callback the most likely culprit there is your resume. What's your previous experience like? Are you submitting the exact same one for all jobs? These days you have to follow ATS optimization guidelines, look into that. Also foreigners just generally tend to have a harder time since companies aren't as eager to go through the process of bringing them in.
Your resume needs improvement
At the moment there are a lot of software engineers in the UK looking for jobs with some of the layoffs from the big multi-nationals affecting UK-based staff, and the rules have changed/are changing so that lower-paid roles won't qualify you for immigration.
I suspect, unless you have specific skills that are rare and in high demand (AI, Data Engineering) then you just won't get much interest - the hassle and paperwork isn't worth the effort for most employers who can fill their roles with existing UK-based staff.
Your best approach is to look for a job based in India with e.g. Wipro, InfoSys, TCS, etc., get on a project where they need to deploy you to a UK site, work that job for a while (3-5 years) then apply for UK-based jobs once you already have a history of working in the UK.
I’m not sure about your situation. But as an Indian living in UK, I don’t see much difference in the savings. The job market looks a bit down as compared to India. Rent and tax is high as compared to salaries. The promotions or salaries do not increase as much as they grow in India.
I would advise to look for a good product based company in India or try US where jobs and salaries are higher than UK.
UK £100k salary = 50lacs INR in India. I know there are a lot of things to consider but personally I don’t think UK is a good place for Indian IT professionals.
My advise to you as a foreigner living in UK. : run away , Brits don’t want foreigners they are the most racist people in the world /run , run go somewhere else!
As a brit that makes me sad. I've worked with a lot of nationalities in my role and its never bothered me (Ukrainian, Spanish, french, indian that im aware). I think a lot of the issues come from right wing news blaming all countries woes at 'immigrants' unfortunately rather than the political failures that actually cause them.
From what you posted here, probably you should spend more time on your resume first. Make sure no grammar errors. Recommend you to read the book "Great Work, Great Career" from Stephen R. Covey. Good luck!
You almost certainly need to rework your CV/Resume.
It should tell me why, at a single glance, I should interview you for the specific role I am hiring for.
It might be worth looking around for what a good CV looks like (particularly with respect to the UK to avoid subtle differences). I often see CVs with endless lists of stuff I don't care about but fail to answer why the candidate will be good at the advertised job.
