I am currently unemployed with customer service remote experience. I have applied for jobs above my abilities below and right on the money. But I keep getting declined. I am pleasant and hard working. The funny thing is as a current home economist aka home maker I have a ton of skills just from that alone. But I feel there might be a prejudice. The fact is I want and need a job where I can hopefully work remote or near by. I would appreciate any advice. I always do well once employed.

I was hoping someone could give me some advice. I’ve been taking care of my extremely sick (literally on the verge of dying) dog. I work from home so it’s not too much of a nuisance but I feel distracted all day long and can hardly get anything done because I worry about my dog. I feel like I’d benefit from a day off or even half a day off but I’ve only been working for my firm for a month now, plus I have “discretionary time off.” Would it be okay for me to ask for a day off?

When I look for the part time roles I only find shady MLM and some delivery jobs. Nothing wrong in delivery jobs, but I am more inclined towards WFH role as me and my wife are pregnant.

So I chose an offer for Deloitte India over Infosys as a Node.js developer. Joining next week. But most of the time when people praise Deloitte they mean USI so I have been of two minds and wondering if I made the right decision.

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

Made the mistake of compromising for a cheaper watch, but that more expensive watch is still calling my name - what have y’all done in this situation? Now feels even more wasteful to go for the expensive one.

I started a job with a restaurant as part time they hired me at a higher wage but after working for one week the other manager came to me telling me that they can’t afford what the other manager and I agreed on so now i have to work at less or I could look for another work options, she meant I should leave otherwise.
