So I had a friend who started the path by getting into more administration roles, and then moving laterally from there into another field. Not sure if that would help1

That was me 6 years ago. As part of a "phase-out" plan, you might try tutoring online or in-person. Working with one student at a time gave me the income I needed and more time to train for the skills in my new field.

How realistic is it to land an AD position as a fresh grad (with a doctorates) and a handful of pharma & FDA interships? Context: I'll have over a year of (consistent) work experience at a large pharma company and I have prior leadership/mgt experience (< 10 yrs) in a gov't role prior to changing careers and pursuing a doctorates.

Also, whats the pay difference between Sr Manager and AD at a large pharma company? TIA!

I have more than seven years of experience with mixed methods social science research with a heavy emphasis on qualitative methods. I’m trying to transition into a remote UX research role, but I’m unsure about how tech professionals perceive my background and qualifications. I would love your ideas about 1.) what would make someone like me more competitive in the field and 2.) what the most appropriate roles (entry/mid/senior/manager) are for someone with my level of experience. DM’s welcome!
