Agree with the others, take what you can get. But also treat networking like it’s another job. Network, network, network!!!! And not like “here’s my card” networking. But rather “let’s actually go get coffee after this networking event” networking.
What type of work are you interested in?
Also have an MPH from Hopkins - it has done nothing for my career lol
You have to start somewhere. Take what you can in this economy. I got an mph degree in 2017 and started at 44k. Once you have some experience, you can prove to employers that you are valuable and switch jobs/climb up the ladder. It gets better. The higher paying sectors typically value some prior experience and there are limited entry level roles for MPH grads in private companies.
Unfortunately MPH and MHA are not valued as much. I dont understand. I have an MHA and met very brilliant people during my studies.
Rutgers. Hbu?
It depends what you’re looking for. Public sector/government/non profit are prob going to pay a lot less than a private sector job. I almost doubled my salary going from state level government to private as a healthcare consultant. I have an MPH w a bachelors in management

Networking is key...can't just apply and hope for the best. Spend time on here or LinkedIn and make connections at your target firms. Sell them on your qualifications and they can be your advocate as you go through the interview process.
