I am looking to complete a delta status challenge and want to turn my layover flight into two legs, meaning I would have to go out of the connecting airport and back in through security. Has anyone done this? Does this count as two legs / one-way trips?

Why would you have to go through security again?

like

I am unsure how to read this. Thought it was saying layovers do not count?

If this status challenge is thru your employer then reach out to your travel contact there; they can contact a Delta rep who can answer this and potentially save you the hassle

like

This counts as 2 segments. Leaving the airport and going through security twice has no effect on that.

FYI, followed up with Delta. Delta only counts layovers as one-way tickets and will count anything as a layover booked on the same transaction within four hours apart. The only way around this is to book two one-ways separately on different transactions if you want it to count for two legs.

Unexpectedly leaving consulting for industry. Background isn’t in apparel but got an offer to join a large international apparel company as a product director and decided to make the jump. Current TC is $183k with annual bonus between 10-20%. New TC will be $200k, $50k signing, annual bonus of 15-40%, and progression path to VP. Will also be managing teams around the world, so opportunity to travel internationally, which is a perk in my book.

Just giving a bit of Gyan to fellow fishers Please please do not ever use CTC comparison between current and next company. If you get an offer, do an in hand calculation. Some companies add Retirals like Employer PF, Gratuity along with Insurance, furniture allowance as part of your CTC. Others don't. Sone also have higher variable package. So when you do a CTC delta you may get a 20% hike but when you discount the above things you will fall short and may end up making less. So choose wisely.

In a coding interview, let's say at FAANG+, would it be OK to import third party libraries? I'm thinking in particular for data structures that are not in Python that people build themselves typically ( Linked list, Max heap). My thinking is that in some another languages, some of these structures are already built in. This assumes that the question is not specifically about building the data structure in question.
