I have the Citi Double Cash card. Its 2% on all purchases. Its simple, easy, and I'm not sitting here optimizing spend for dumb reasons.
I also think miles are pretty useless for me so I really don't want those.
I use Fidelity’s reward card for 2% on everything and Amazon’s visa for 5% off at Amazon and whole foods.

Don't chase every day spending categories / cards, go after signup bonuses (you can easily get 10-15%+ return)

-Transunion: Avg 786, Low 775, High 791
-Experian: Avg 785, Low 775, High 789
-Equifax: Avg 791, Low 770, High 805
2021 FICO 8 Scores
-Transunion: Avg 784, Low 774, High 791
-Experian: Avg 783, Low 777, High 786
-Equifax: Avg 794, Low 785, High 804
Overall recs: space your applications out by a few months, go after business cards too as they don't report to your personal credit report, don't cancel cards - downgrade or get retention offers, and stop applying for new cards appx. 4-6 months before shopping for mortgages.
