I am moving to a different state that does not have my current bank. I have stocks that will vest October 9 but I do not get to keep them if I leave any earlier than that date. I’ve already tried to negotiate this. I believe I am going to get a job offer and I’m trying to figure out how to approach this topic with them. previously stated potential starting date would be September 1… How do I talk about October 9? Any tips or phrases would be appreciated.
I’d like to keep the stocks.

Just let them know what's up, I really appreciate the offer, would there be any flexibility to the start date. If they say no, let them know you are walking away from 10k and need to consider that in the offer.

Sell the stocks. Opportunity and money come and go.

It’s not that I’d have to sell them. I’d lose them. I’d lose any money associated with them and it’s about 10k, probably moreso.

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per

recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
